Donation Based Classes

You do not have to preregister - just show up.

Provide Survivors & Veterans with resources to slow down, recognize, and navigate through their PTSD by utilizing the tools of yoga.

What to expect in class:

Classes will utilize slow, mindful movements and breathing techniques to create a sense of stability and security.

You do not have to have any prior yoga experience - if you can breathe, you can practice yoga! All clothes are yoga clothes - wear whatever you are comfortable moving and stretching in. Yoga is often practiced in bare feet or socks; you may leave your shoes on if you prefer. You can practice from a chair or on a mat.

Humble Warrior Collective teachers are offering yoga classes in partnership with Synergy Wellbeing. Mindful Movement classes at Synergy are “designed for all skill and fitness levels – even if you’ve never practiced yoga or Qi Gong before. Mindful Movement classes focus on stress management to calm your mind, boost your mental health and relax your body so you can live your life better.”

Classes held at Synergy Wellbeing are limited to 8 participants.

Wear something comfortable to move and rest in. Bring a water bottle & a mat if you have one.

Synergy has mats, blankets, straps, blocks, and bolsters provided!

Chairs are available for clients to practice in comfort & safety.

Synergy offers a 15% discount for teachers, first responders, healthcare and mental health professionals and current clients. *Not available with other discounts or promotions. Please present ID at first class

Community Warrior Donation Series

Starting October 1st through November 5th, come practice at UpDog Yoga & get to know your favorite Humble Warrior Collective teachers & more about this local nonprofit's great work.

These classes will honor the seasonal shift into fall, preparing us to root down by using the tools of yoga to stay grounded during moments of stress. Bring a mat, water botte, and wear comfortable clothes and be ready for a sweet, all-levels, accessible, gentle + strong practice.

Earth Element is Sundara’s TIYT™ Level 1 training and covers Trauma Informed Yoga teaching principles for general population Yoga classes. We cap our trainings so we can get to know our future colleauges – we are a Collective and community is very important to us – because of the limited space, our trainings book up in advance, so please register early.

Join us for a spring celebration with live music, spoken word & poetry inspired by movement, soul, hope & joy. This is a fun opportunity to be a champion of a great cause, supporting Humble Warrior Collective mindfulness and movement programs across Oklahoma.

Our picnic style event will be held at the Hailey Chapel, a beautiful outdoor amphitheater at the Herman & Kate Kaiser YMCA.

Tickets include fresh juice beverage, hor d'oeuvres, and entertainment.

Yoga In Action

Yoga In Action is influenced by yoga philosophy and social justice principles that call for connection, truth, and liberation for all. In this workshop, you will use yoga, mindfulness, and self-inquiry tools to observe your own patterns and the systems in the world around us that negatively impact others so that you can grow personally and create a positive impact on the world around you. You will learn self-regulation tools and how to practice regulation to build resilience and support positive community growth and transformation.

  • Define conscious activism.  

  • Identify what cause is important to you and how best to pursue action to create an impact in your life and community

  • Develop self-care routines to sustain your personal energy and activism

  • Cultivate practices to encourage nonviolent personal and interpersonal interactions 

  • Create a community with your cohort that will provide long term support for personal activism

The cohort will meet virtually over four sessions. Each session will contain a movement practice, lecture and reflection, and group exercises. Prepare to spend additional time individually reviewing resources and journaling before each session.

She loves teaching yoga and serving as the Research Coordinator for the Humble Warrior Collective.

Melissa Smith has been sharing yoga and movement practices for over a decade. She is an experienced trauma-informed yoga teacher whose goal is to cultivate and spread compassion through connection.  Melissa feels called to make yoga accessible for everyone and is proud to serve as a teacher with Humble Warrior Collective.

Trauma Informed Yoga For Teens

This class series is designed specifically for the teen who is stressed out and struggling. 

Each class will consist of mindful movement and breathing techniques to help your teen establish practices that reduce stress and find ease. Students will build balance, flexibility, and strength and develop skills to cope with feelings, set goals, make decisions, and get along with—and feel empathy for—others. 

Each class will be themed with a social emotional learning concept:

  1. Self-Awareness

  2. Self-Management

  3. Social Awareness

  4. Relationship Skills

  5. Responsible Decision Making

5 week series beginning Tuesday, Nov. 17th and ends  Tuesday, Dec. 15th. 4:30pm-5:30pm CST.

Space is limited. 


Our mission is to make the resources of yoga and mindfulness more accessible to all; we believe this access can help build a stronger, more connected community. In this spirit, this class is free to teens in our community that could benefit from the practice.

Yoga In Action In-Person Training

Join us for this journey from inward witnessing and acceptance to outward purposeful action.

In this training, you will explore:

-our inherent biases and privileges

-what conscious activism is

- what it means to show up for and serve in a diverse community

-develop communication tools to put purpose into action

-collaborate with other socially conscious individuals on a service project that creates genuine change in our Tulsa community.

You do not have to be a yoga teacher to participate, just someone who wants to make a positive change in our world through conscious activism.

This is a 21 hour training that takes place over 7 - 3 hour sessions; which breaks down to $25 per session. Yoga Alliance CEU’s available. All proceeds from this training go to fund Humble Warrior Collective Yoga programs in our schools and detention facilities.
