The Mission

HUMBLE WARRIOR COLLECTIVE provides marginalized and underserved individuals access to trauma-informed movement and mindfulness techniques, empowering communities to cultivate personal wellness, discovery, and resilience.

Measuring The Impact

Humble Warrior Collective and the Hope Research Center have partnered to measure the impact of our yoga, meditation, and mindfulness curriculum. Dr. Chan Hellman and Dr. Evie Muilenburg-Trevino developed surveys, which measure hope, self-compassion, the benefits of yoga, and Humble Warrior Collective curriculum concepts.

Students enrolled in our 8-week courses are surveyed at the beginning and conclusion of our courses, tracking changes at the individual level. The data measures our effectiveness and improves our teachings of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness as tools that buffer stress, build resilience, and improve outcomes.

We are excited to share the results of this evaluation show that Humble Warrior Collective programs reduce stress and increase hope in our students! Here is where to access our research report,

Humble Warrior Collective is using the data we receive to continually improve our programs and meet the needs of the students in front of us.

A Note About Trauma

Trauma is defined as “a disordered psychic or behavioral state resulting from severe mental or emotional stress or physical injury.” —Merriam Webster Dictionary

We now know that a traumatic event can leave psychological symptoms long after any physical injuries have healed. The psychological reaction to emotional trauma now has an established name: post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. It usually occurs after an extremely stressful event, such as wartime combat, a natural disaster, or sexual or physical abuse; its symptoms include depression, anxiety, flashbacks, and recurring nightmares.” — Merriam Webster Dictionary

At Humble Warrior Collective, we are committed to helping our students discover their unique path to wholeness and supporting them on the journey.
