Yoga for Vets is a Humble Warrior Collective program in memorial of SPC Megan Widner, Combat Medic in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Megan was the recipient of two Bronze Stars, one with valor and the coveted Combat Medic Badge. Megan's PTSD played a very malicious role in her daily life.

Every day for her was a series of small defeats and eventually left her incapacitated. Megan's major triggers were driving, fireworks, and the song "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen, which was played at the beginning of every mission while on deployment. Yoga for Vets was created with the idea that veterans need more resources to better navigate their PTSD triggers. Everyone deserves the opportunity to overcome personal adversity & live a healthy & happy life, most especially our brave soldiers.

Yoga for Vets began as Megan’s Mission and was created by Ashley Ramsey, best friend of Megan Widner. Ashley has served with Humble Warrior Collective as a TIY teacher and currently serves as the HWC Bloom Event Chair and member of the Board of Directors.
