Kendra Guthrie

Executive Director

Serving with Humble Warrior Collective since 2015, in it’s Attic Conversation’s days, Kendra Guthrie shared the vision of yoga as complementary therapeutic practice and rose up the ranks through hard work and dedication to the mission. Her career began as a trauma informed yoga teacher serving with individuals in recovery and justice involved youth. Kendra’s next phase of growth came as she forged a partnership between Humble Warrior Collective and the Hope Research Center at OU-Tulsa, co-developing survey instruments, and facilitating groundbreaking research of HWC programs as Research Coordinator and Lead Teacher. Outcomes measured showed HWC programs reduced participants’ stress and increased their hope, a leading factor contributing to resilience in the face of adversity.

In 2021, a change in Humble Warrior’s leadership called her to transform into her current role as Executive Director.

Kendra’s playful style of teaching continues to evolve incorporating evidence-based forms of movement & mindfulness practices emphasizing holistic wellbeing, mindful resilience, and self-sovereignty. With over a decade of experience leading workshops, training teachers, and teaching trauma-informed yoga, mindful movement, mindfulness, and meditation in studios, higher education, elementary, middle and high schools, clinical settings, justice-involved spaces, mental health care facilities, recovery centers, festivals, workshops, and conference settings, Kendra specializes in guided meditation and brings a unique fusion of mindful movement modalities, including trauma informed yoga therapy, yoga, somatics, tai chi, and biomechanics.
