Annie grew up in St Louis, MO and attended Middlebury College in Vermont, majoring in Political Science. After graduation, she worked in finance in Boston and received a master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Studies from Boston University. Post graduate school, she worked in Washington, DC for 4 years in Latin American economic development, including projects in the coffee and fiber processing industries. In 1996 she married a Tulsan and started the journey (London, St. Louis, Wilton CT) that would eventually bring her family to Oklahoma in 2014.
Always entrepreneurial, Annie started an apparel business in 2002 and opened her first yoga studio in Wilton, CT in 2011. Owning a studio was a great way to create a flexible (no pun intended) work environment around her family and to combine her love of yoga with meaningful work. She affectionately calls this work her “jobby” as she had had the privilege to teach, work with and own amazing studios for
the past 20 years. Annie opened updog yoga in Tulsa, OK in 2021. The studio offers both indoor and outdoor heated/non heated classes. Managing a studio is challenging, but Annie is grateful for the people she has met on this journey and looks forward to working with Humble Warrior Collective.
